KATHMANDU, March 31: The country has the influence of western winds along with local winds. Due to this, there is a chance of light to moderate rains with thunder, thunderstorm and gusty winds at some places due to normal to complete change over the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD) of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the highlands and Himalayan areas. At present, there is a general change in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini and the rest of the provinces including Sudurpaschim (Far Western) province. The weather forecast bulletin issued by the division said that the weather is generally clear in the rest of the region.

On Saturday, there will be normal changes across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is likely at some places in hilly areas and few places in Terai.

The weather in Kathmandu today is normal and there is a possibility of light rain. The minimum temperature of Kathmandu today is 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 26 degrees Celsius.
