KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Officials of LG claim that the sale of popular electronics brand through its authorized showrooms have increased in the past year.

Talking to Republica during the launch of LG's first Lifestyle Shoppe at Sitapaila on Monday, Purushottam Bhandari, national sales head of CG Electronics, the authorized distributor of LG products in Nepal, said:“"The overall sale of LG products through brand shops in Nepal has increased by nearly 40 percent this year”"

Similarly, Aastik Ranabhat, marketing and brand manager to LG, said that there has been a significant rise in the sale of LG products within the country and this is mainly due to the end of load-shedding in Nepal and the introduction of new products.

Officials recommend purchasing LG home appliances from the brand shops itself“ "While brand shops offer superior service before and after the purchase, other retailers might turn a blind eye to after-sales service”," said Jyoti Khatiwada, showroom in-charge of LG showroom at Minbhawan.

Washing machine, refrigerator, television, audio set, microwave and air conditioners are among the most sought-after products in Nepal, according to LG officials.

Speaking with Republica, Brian Park, managing director of LG Electronics, Singapore, expressed his will to establish an LG lifestyle Shoppe in every province of Nepal.
