LG launches Touchscreen Dual-SIM phone

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: CG Impex Pvt Ltd has launched electronics appliance maker LG Electronics´ first Touchscreen mobile phone set with two SIM card slots. Priced at Rs 26,990, the LG-KS660, has a three inch touchscreen display. The dual-SIM option allows users to use two mobile phone numbers without having to carry two phone sets. [break]



“Switching between the different lines can also be made easily with a single touch,” Ramesh Shrestha of CG said. The phone also allows call holding and call waiting facility. According to Shrestha, if someone calls while the user is already talking on the phone, the LG-KS660 tells the user so that the user can choose to make that caller wait or hold the current call and switch to the other phone then come back to the first caller. The set allows up to four active calls.



With its 5 mp camera, users can also capture high-quality images. It also allows users to keep personal photos separate from business documents. Another cool feature of the phone is its Automatic Handwriting Recognition system, which recognizes and converts writing in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Kazak and Estonian languages into recognizable data.



The phone offers a myriad of widget, including calendar, to-do list, memo or search tab, which can be customized and accessed with a single touch. LG-KS660´s Smart Desktop gives consumers a virtual PC in a slim mobile.



As an introductory offer, CG Impex is offering 2GB memory card, data cable and stereophonic headset worth Rs 3000 with every purchase. The phone is covered by a year´s warranty, while the battery has a warranty of six months.
