A two-day book translation event for Let's Read! Digital Library by The Asia Foundation in Kathmandu initiated from Saturday. According to the press statement released by Let’s Read! Digital Library, academicians, authors, writers, editors, librarians, teachers, volunteers, book readers and students gathered to translate more than 60 children books into the Nepali language. Eighty such participants were divided into smaller groups for translation works. These translated books are scheduled to be uploaded in the Let's Read! Digital Library for providing easy access to all as per the press statement.

Let’s Read! is a platform for reading and translating the world’s stories. It is a free, open-source online digital library that provides access to engaging, high-quality storybooks anywhere, anytime and to anyone. The books in Let’s Read! are a mix of locally and internationally created stories, all of which are available in national and indigenous languages including Nepali on Let’s Read! application. So far, more than 1,329 books available in the Let's Read! Digital Library in 11 different languages.
