Let it rain!

The continuous downpour since the past few days indicates the fact that monsoon is finally here. For many, monsoon might appear to be gloomy, with frequent deluges, but this is also the perfect season for fashion enthusiasts to dazzle in layers of funky attire.

Though rain provides relief from the intense heat, it also brings troubles in form of stains in the outfits. Due to this problem, many are looking for ways to tackle this problem. However, in reality, monsoon hacks can enhance your appearance.

To find out what tricks the K-town celebs have up their sleeves for the monsoon, My City’s Aditya Neupane interacted with a few.

Barsha Siwakoti, Actor

Favorite monsoon accessories:
Fashion is all about comfort. I don’t prefer the splashes in my clothes, so I strictly avoid light colored dresses and long clothes. Short outfits like shorts or one-piece dresses are my favorites for the monsoon season.

Monsoon activities:
Since I am fond of traveling, long drives are my all-time favorite activity. I prefer to travel outside the valley during monsoon. I like to blend traveling and rain in a peaceful environment. Listening to my favorite songs gives me a flush of inspiration to do something extra in my life.

A memory you cherish:
Last year we went to Kalinchowk for shooting. We were set to complete the shoot in two days, but it took us five days to complete due to the downpour.

Food for the weather:
I am not a foodie, but I prefer to have soupy food during monsoon. Jhol momo and black tea are perfect to thaw my frozen bones in the monsoon blues. Bipin Karki, Actor

Favorite monsoon accessories:

Regardless of the season, casual shirt and pant are my all-time favorite. I don’t have a monsoon special look but I prefer wearing light and normal clothes during monsoon.

Monsoon activities:
I love to travel to different places. During monsoon, trekking, and hiking are the best ways to explore the nature. Gosaikunda is my favorite monsoon travel destination.

Food for the weather:
I prefer hot beverage like tea, coffee during monsoon.

Astha Raut, Singer/Songwriter

Favorite monsoon accessories:
Instead of being fashionable, I want to stay comfortable so I avoid white dresses. I prefer to wear short clothes. Due to the risk of being sodden in the continuous shower, I always carry an umbrella with me and use other accessories which are easy to handle.

Monsoon activities:
I prefer staying indoors during this monsoon and spend some time with friends and families.

A memory you cherish:
I don’t get out during monsoon that’s why I don’t have any memories but whenever I get out of my house I collect bad memories only. So, I think good memories are yet to come in my life.

Salon Basnet, Actor

Monsoon activities:
I like to go to the hilly region to relish the joys of monsoon. I prefer spending time in the hilly area, enjoying  nature and listening to the sounds of the drizzle.
A memory you cherish:
My favorite monsoon memory is quite wired, but a few years ago me and my friends took off on a bike ride to Pokhara. It started to drizzle after we left the valley. We completed the entire journey in soggy clothes.

Food to comply with the weather:
Hot and soupy meals are my favorite foods. Jhol momo is my favorite monsoon cuisine. I like masala tea when it’s raining.
