Legendary literary figure Narayan Bahadur Singh remembered

When people find it difficult to know the true expression of the art they are looking at, that is when art critic steps in. And in the memory of Narayan Bahadur Singh— art critic, literary figure and journalist —Society of Fine Arts Journalists (SoFAJ) organized a talk program titled ‘Samjhanama Narayan Bahadur Singh’ on Monday at Nepal Art Council, Baber Mahal.

And in the memory of Narayan Bahadur Singh— art critic, literary figure and journalist —Society of Fine Arts Journalists (SoFAJ) organized a talk program titled ‘Samjhanama Narayan Bahadur Singh’ on Monday at Nepal Art Council, Baber Mahal.

Narayan Bahadur is known for his valuable contribution for establishing art writing as a beat in Nepali Journalism. In the event, artist Laxman Bhujel, artist/academician Ramesh Khanal, Art critic/ artist Mukesh Malla, artist/academician Shushma Rajbhandari among others talked about the role played by Narayan Bahadur in art writing scenario of Nepal and importance of art writing.


A press statement released by SoFAJ quoted Bhujel saying, “We should not forget Narayan Bahadur Singh’s contribution in Nepali art scenario. And as time is passing by people are forgetting about his contributions. Therefore, at this time it is an urgent need to publish his yet unpublished articles. So that today’s generation too can know about his work.”


Likewise, other speakers too shared words of apperception in remembrance of Narayan Bahadur Singh.
