During the meeting, a section of leaders, like in the previous meetings, put forth their opinions on revival of the dissolved CA while other leaders stressed for holding fresh elections to the CA.
After the meeting, UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said Tuesday´s meeting ended just listening to the plain opinion of all parties´ representatives.
He said the leaders of fringe parties said that the decision made by the top three political parties and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) would be acceptable to them.
Sapkota said that in today´s meeting almost all leaders agreed that political consensus was inevitable among the parties as the country was in a serious stage.
Also speaking to media persons, CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said that agreement has been made to forge consensus by mid-October.
Khanal said there was no option to forging a consensus as the country was plunging into serious political and economic crises.
Nepali Congress´ senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, however, said that no formal issue on procedure and process to end the ongoing political deadlock was proposed though all the parties agreed to give a way out to the ongoing deadlock.
Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa said his party proposed for holding fresh elections by May 2013 with the formation of a new election government under the leadership of an independent figure.
Meanwhile, the leaders of fringe parties have reiterated their stance for reviving the dissolved CA as it was the only and best option to cut the current deadlock short.
Rastriya Samajbadi Party´s Chairman Prem Bahadur Singh, Co-chairman of Nepal Sadbhavana Party Laxman Lal Karna, Chure Bhavar Rastriya Party´s Chairman Badri Neupane and Nepali Congress senior leader Deuba among others voice their support of reinstatement of the CA, as it was best suited to end the ongoing political deadlock.
Karna said, "As amendment of constitution through the President is not likely revival of the CA is the best option."
