KANCHANPUR, March 12: Chairman of the Sadbhavana Party Rajendra Mahato has urged the CPN-UML to participate in the constitution amendment which, he argued, would ensure timely election.

During a press meet organized by the Press Forum Saptari here Sunday, Chairman Mahato told UML to shun the attitude against Madhes but join a hand to ensure rights to Madhes. According to him, the big three parties' role was important to solve Madhes problems.

He further argued that election was not possible without resolving the Madhes problems. "What's difference if the election is postponed for two more months, while it has not been for 18 years," he added.

Meanwhile, Chairman Mahato met with the families of those killed in Saptari incident. On behalf of his party, he provided Rs 125,000 to each family as assistance. RSS
