Lawmakers draw govt.'s attention on various issues

KATHMANDU, June 4: Lawmakers have expressed their views on various matters in a special hour of meeting of House of Representative on Monday. 

During the occasion, Pampha Bhusal said that although syndicate at transport has been ended, corruption is still taking place in this sector. 

Similarly, Sarita Kumari Giri demanded compensation to the victims of wild animals in Kanchanpur while Dilendra Badu demanded to brief the House about the matters to be discussed with China during China Visit of the Prime Minister. 

Likewise, Mahendra Narayan Yadav said that people living in Tarai since years could not get citizenship by birth and drew the government's attention in this regard and Prem Suwal blamed the government for not paying its attention to control human trafficking. 
Anjana Bisunkhe and Kaludevi BK presented many examples of incidents of discrimination against Dalits before the House. 

Similarly, Ram Bahadur Bista, Som Prasad Pandey, Ganesh Dagunna, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Durga Poudel, Uma Regmi, and Shanta Chaudhary drew the attention of House over various issues including price hike of petroleum products, increasing road accidents, compensation to victims and increasing discrimination against kamaiyas in Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts. 

Appropriation Bill-2018 passed

Meanwhile, the meeting of House of Representatives has unanimously passed the Appropriation Bill-2018. Finance Minister Dr Yubraj Khatiwada presented the proposal in this regard in the meeting. The next meeting of the HoR has been scheduled on June 8. RSS
