Lawmaker Dhakal holds meeting with former Australian PM Scott Morrison

KATHMANDU, March 18: Lawmaker Ek Nath Dhakal met with former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Thursday in Sydney, Australia.

KATHMANDU, March 18: Lawmaker Ek Nath Dhakal met with former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Thursday in Sydney, Australia.


According to Dhakal’s Secretariat, the two lawmakers discussed mutual interests and partnership between the two countries in addressing common regional and international issues among others. Leader of Liberal Party, Morrison served as Prime Minister of Australia from 2018 - 2022. Currently, he is serving as Member of the Parliament.

During his two-day stay in Australia, Dhakal, who is also a president of Nepal Family Party and former minister, also met with the legislators of the Labor Party, Lynda Voltz and Anthony D’Adam, among others, and discussed further strengthening the people-to-people relations between Nepal and Australia.


Lawmaker Dhakal returned home on Friday as he had to cast vote in the vice-presidential election.
