RAUTAHAT May 14: A huge cache of narcotics has been seized in Sarlahi. The Sarlahi Police have caught two men in possession of these drugs.
Police said that the two people were found in possession of these drugs in Barahathawa Municipality 5, Chornia Pulbatal of Sarlahi. Police shared that the arrestees are Ajay Sahani and 32 year old Tajbabu Darji, both of Godaita Municipality-3.
Huge cache of materials used for explosive seized
On Friday night, around 8, a public bus (Ba Pra 06-001 Kha 0003) left Sarlahi, on its way to Kathmandu and was searched by a joint team from the local police and the Armed Police Force. The two arrestees were discovered carrying 187 bottles of Colliwell Cough Syrup, 92 ampoules each of Nufein, Phenergan and Diazepam and 300 tablets of Nitravet and 10,900 tablets of Nitza Care, according to Deputy Superintendent Makendra Mishra of local police.
DSP Makendra Mishra informed Republica, saying the District Court has allowed investigation by extending the detention of the arrestees.
There have been many arrests made in Sarlahi which has recently become a transit point for drug trafficking.
