RUKUM, July 9: Transportation services remain obstructed due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall at various road sections in Rukum district.
Transportation services at Musikot-Rukumkot, Rukumkot-Kyuwang, Tikadhuri and Musikot-Takasera road sections came to a halt after landslides damaged roads at various places.
Hundreds of passengers remained stranded after the roads were blocked.
Locals have been forced to purchase essential daily commodities at high prices as the halt of transportation has caused a shortage of goods.
Locals blamed concerned authorities for paying no attention to improve the condition of the road.
Meanwhile, concerned authorities said that the maintenance of the roads can take place only during winter.
