UDAYAPUR, Aug 26: A landslide that occurred near Mauwasi rivulet of Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality following the incessant rainfall has obstructed Madan Bhandari highway for two days.
According to the District Police Office, Udayapur, vehicular movement along the highway has been disrupted since Friday morning due to landslides.

Chief of District Police Office, Udayapur, Gyanendra Phunyal, said vehicles coming in the district from Kathmandu are stranded in Katari area while vehicles heading towards Kathmandu from the east are stranded in Gaighat after a landslide blocked the road.
Although efforts are underway to resume the vehicular movement from Friday morning, continued rainfall and a huge landslide along with rocks have made the efforts unsuccessful, according to Chief of Gaighat-Diktel Road Office, Gopal Prasad Khakurel.
Incessant rainfall has affected the removal of landslide debris.
