Landslide kills four in Kalikot

KALIKOT, April, 21: Four persons were killed in a landslide that took place on Thursday evening at the place close to Jiteghat buspark located in Kotwada of Naraharinath rural municipality.

The decreased have been identified as Gorkha BK, 40, a local of Naraharinath rural municipality-1, his wife Dhana BK, 36, his daughter Bajpura BK , 13 and Log Bahadur KC, 30, a local of Shannitribeni rural municipality-9.

Bhawana Devi Dvkota, 14, a local of Sannitribeni-3 sustained injuries in the incident. She is receiving treatment at Kalikot-based district hospital, according to the police.

The landslide was preceded by heavy rain. Nepal Army personnel are rescuing the victims.
