BANEPA, Sept 18: The landslide triggered by incessant rainfall has completely halted the vehicular movement in and around Panchkhal municipality, Chaunnakilo and Dolalghat of Bhumlu rural municipality along the Araniko highway.
According to District Police Office Kavre Chief and Superintendent of Police, Jayaraj Sapkota, the landslide occurred nearby Bhumlu rural municipality-10, Dolalghat caused road erosion last night which put the traffic operation out of gear.
"The landslide has caused road erosion in several places along the highway", he said, adding vehicular movement has been brought to complete standstill due to road obstruction.
Efforts however are being made to clear the rubbles and resume the traffic operation on the highway, said Bhumlu rural municipality Chairperson Guman Dhwoj Kunwar.
Meanwhile, the vehicular operation at Lhaskot in Roshi rural municipality along the BP Highway which was disrupted yesterday due to landslide has come to operation at the initiative of the rural municipality.
