LAMJUNG, July 9: The Dumre-Besisahar road has been blocked by landslides triggered by heavy rainfall. 


The District Police Office, Lamjung, reported that the road was impassable this morning due to a landslide in Dalal of Benisahar Municipality-1 along the route.

Police Inspector Thaneshwar Chapai stated that landslides at this location have been a recurrent issue, causing frequent road closures. The blockage has left passengers stranded, affecting travel for those heading to Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Bhairahawa, and other destinations via the main route connecting Lamjung and Tanahun districts to Besisahar and Manang.


Travelers face similar challenges annually during the monsoon season.
