Lamichhane’s remand extended for two more days

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: The Kathmandu District Court has extended the judicial remand of cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, who was arrested on rape charge, for two more days for investigation.

The court on Sunday again allowed the police to keep Lamichhane in judicial custody for two more days for investigation into the charge against him.

Lamichhane was brought to the district court today by the police after the four-day deadline that was extended last Wednesday expired.

Sandeep, who was accused of raping a 17-year-old minor, was arrested by the police on October 6.
