KATHMANDU, Oct 28: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has initiated the process to recruit new members for its city police force. The metropolis is actively seeking to hire 50 city policemen on a contractual basis.


Through an official announcement made on Friday, the metropolis has formally extended an invitation for applications. The recruitment drive aims to fill various positions, including 28 open vacancies, nine positions designated for women, eight for individuals belonging to indigenous communities, two for Dalits, and one for candidates from the Tharu, Madhesi, and marginalized groups.

Prospective candidates have the option to submit their applications either in person at the metropolitan office or online, with the application window set to close on November 10. Applicants should be within the age range of 18 to 30 years, and this limit is extended to 40 years for those who have prior experience as soldiers or policemen. The minimum educational requirement for applicants is the successful completion of the 8th grade.


The metropolis plans to contact individuals who have submitted applications on November 20 to proceed with the recruitment process.
