Lahan-based Area Administration Office resumes service delivery

Chief of the Office, Bednidhi Khanal, said that formal service to provide passport to the service seekers was resumed beginning Monday after the installation of the electronic devices.

SIRAHA, Oct 14: The Area Administration Office in Lahan has resumed the passport issuance service, which was disrupted after the vandalism and arson happened during the Gen-Z protests of September 8 and 9.  



Chief of the Office, Bednidhi Khanal, said that formal service to provide passport to the service seekers was resumed beginning Monday after the installation of the electronic devices.

"Now, services for passport issuance are regular," Khanal said. It is said that the Office received devices including a computer set, scanner, QR reader, signature pad, stand and camera from the Department of Passport to resume the services. 


According to Chief Khanal, the service recipients will get full-fledged services on passport issuance from today. Currently, the Office is providing passport to as high as 50 individuals. 


The Office suffered damages to its physical properties worth Rs 1.5 million. 


The Area Administration Office in Siraha provides public services to the local residents of Dhangadhimai Municipality, Laxmipurpatari Rural Municipality, Nawarajpur Rural Municipality, Sakhuwankarkatti Rural Municipality, Bhagawanpur Rural Municipality and Lahan Municipality.
