Meanwhile, our correspondent Sundar Khanal reported that talks between victims´ families and microbus owner is being held at Metropolitina Police Range Office, Hanumandhoka.

The locals in Lagankhel are protesting the death of two persons in an accident near Singha Durbar on Saturday evening. The two deceased lived in Lagankhel.

The chakka jam has affected traffic flow in Jawalakhel-Patan Hospital and Satdobato-Lagankhel areas.

So far the police have been unable to foil the sudden chakka jam that began a little after 8.30 a.m. A few days ago the government warned to deal strictly with such frequent road blocks that have increased of late throughout the country.

Meanwhile, the chakka jam Araniko Highway (between Koteshwar and Kaushaltar) by families and friends of the three teenagers who succumbed to their injuries was foiled by police. The protestors had announced the chakka jam from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Sunday. However, the traffic flow is still to ease because of the earlier obstruction.

The protestors are demanding action against those who lynched these three and another in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.
