LACM, Golden Gate into quarters

KATHMANDU, May 12: Little Angels College of Management (LACM) and Golden Gate on Tuesday advanced to the quarter finals in the men´s category, wining their respective matches at the ongoing Sprite Basketball Bash held at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium.



LACM defeated Nepal Medical College (NMC) 65-41, riding on Nabin Shrestha´s 27 points. LACM led through all the quarters 22-18, 19-8, 12-4, 12-11. In another game, Golden Gate beat Kathmandu University (KU) 59-31, helped along by Manoj Sherchan´s 20 points.



In the women´s category, Campion College beat Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) by two points in the added time after the regular match ended in a 17-17 stalemate. Bindu Lama scored11points for Campion, while Hem Kumari Pun contributed six points for KCM. Likewise, Golden Gate thrashed Nepal Medical College (NMC) 52-10. Maya Sandeu scored 18 points for Golden Gate.
