While the government is initiating plans and campaigns to promote ‘Visit Nepal 2020’, tourism entrepreneurs are claiming that Suke Pokhari could be one of the important tourist destinations. Situated in the eastern part of Nepal, Pachthar, it carries great historical and natural significance.
Blessed with ecological diversity, the ambiance of this landscape varies on the basis of weather. In autumn, the place offers breathtaking views of mountain ranges. Meanwhile, being in Suke Pokhari during monsoon is another noteworthy experience. Due to the fog, it seems as if the fog is playing hide and seek with green alpines. Moreover, various species of rhododendron make your journey wonderful in summer.
Despite blessed with nature, Suke Pokhari is overshadowed in comparison to other tourist destinations. And the reason is a lack of promotion and development of infrastructure.

“This place is historically and naturally significant where realizing its importance we’re trying to develop the infrastructure to allure the tourist,” said Onahang Nembang, Mayor of Phidim Municipality.

“However, due to limited budget, the development projects need to be done through province government rather than from local level,” he added.
