Labor minister discusses welfare of Nepali workers in the UAE

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Security Gokarna Bista has raised the issue of Nepali workers’ welfare in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), meeting his counterpart Nasser Bin Thani AI Hamali, Minister for Human Resource and Emiratization of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday. 

Bista had reached the UAE on Tuesday to attend the 5th ministerial meeting of Abu Dhabi Dialogue being held on October 16-17. 

Minister Bista raised a wide range of issues including wage increase and skills development of Nepali workers in the UAE during the meeting, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal, Abu Dhabi.
