KATHMANDU, March 27: Nepal was beaten 3-1 by Kyrgyzstan in its last league match of the ongoing AVC Central Zone Men's Volleyball Championship on Monday.
In the match played in the Maldivian capital Male, Kyrgyzstan beat Nepal 25-20, 13-25, 25-15, 25-11. It was the second loss for Nepal which has already confirmed at least third-place finish.
After the completion of the round robin matches, Turkmenistan is on top of the standings with three out of three wins while Kyrgyzstan is in the second position. Similarly, Nepal wrapped its league with one win while host Maldives finished rock bottom without any win.
Turkmenistan booked a place in the final by the virtue of group winner while Nepal and Kyrgyzstan will vie in the playoff on Tuesday to determine the fate of the second finalist.
