Kumari Bank launches credit cards

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL) has launched Kumari Credit Card. Issuing a statement on Monday, the commercial bank said that it has issued two types of Credit Cards -- domestic credit card and international credit card.

While the domestic credit card is valid in Nepal and India only, international credit card, issued in US Dollar, is accepted worldwide, according to the statement. “The card enables to make payments for purchases over POS terminals and withdraw cash as well through ATM Terminals,” the statement said.

“The bank is one of the few players in the industry to issue chip-based credit cards, ensuring high level of security thereby minimizing the risk of fraud,” the statement added.
