BIRATNAGAR, June 29: Chief Minister (CM) of Koshi Province Government, Hikmat Kumar Karki has asked for a vote of confidence. In his speech in the first meeting of the third session of the Provincial Assembly, he submitted a proposal regarding the vote of confidence in accordance with clause 2 of Article 118 of the Constitution.
CM Karki had to take a vote of confidence after the CPN-Maoist and JSP left the provincial government.

Karki said that in order to maintain the political stability of the province, all the parties should work together. Karki said that due to political ups and downs in the province, he was forced to end the provincial assembly session and bring the budget through an ordinance.
Karki says that all the parties should give a vote of confidence to the government as the provincial government is trustworthy. Karki said that the naming of the province was the main achievement. “Since the government has done good work in a short period of time, I request you to continue supporting this government,” he said.
