Koirala further said that a national consensus government along with the CPN (UML) was necessary to make two third of majority in the parliament in bringing the new national statute into effect and to endorse proposals like constitution amendment through the parliament.

The former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs were of the opinion that the new government should be allowed to function till its tenure else she argued that instability will plague the country if the new government is also toppled down.
