KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has said that it must be informed about any road widening move before it is undertaken.
Mayor of KMC Bidhya Sundar Shakya said that the public of Kathmandu denizens are suffering very much due to haphazard road widening projects. They must inform the metropolis before they start constructing or destroying roads.
Mayor Shakya further said, “The information regarding any road construction and destruction should be provided to the metropolis in advance.”
A meeting held by the Chief Administrative Officer of the KMC, Dhaniram Sharma, today decided to this effect.
Sharma said that this decision has been taken in consultation with stakeholders while constructing roads.
