KMC Group inaugurates Western Plus Kathmandu

KMC Group has inaugurated a four-star hotel near the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) and the iconic Pashupatinath Temple, with the aims to provide a blend of contemporary amenities and traditional Nepali hospitality for both leisure and business travelers.

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: KMC Group has inaugurated a four-star hotel near the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) and the iconic Pashupatinath Temple, with the aims to provide a blend of contemporary amenities and traditional Nepali hospitality for both leisure and business travelers. 


Issuing a recent statement, the company said that the launch of the Best Western Plus Kathmandu marks the debut of the globally recognized American hospitality brand in Nepal. 


The hotel features 84 well-appointed rooms, including suites, premium, and deluxe categories, all equipped with modern conveniences and ergonomic workspaces to ensure a seamless stay, added the statement.

KMC Group argued that the hotel’s prime location offers easy access to Kathmandu's major attractions, cultural landmarks, and business hubs. Guests can enjoy a diverse dining experience at two exceptional restaurants-Sunrise Cafe and La Vista Rooftop Restaurant-and also relax at the rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city, according to theKMC Group. 


The statement added that the hotel also boasts versatile event spaces capable of accommodating up to 1000 guests, making it an ideal venue for conferences, corporate events, and social gatherings. 


The hotel provides a fully equipped fitness center, spa, sauna, and outdoor pool for relaxation, the statement further said.


“Best Western Plus Kathmandu is committed to sustainable tourism, incorporating energy-efficient systems and locally sourced materials to minimize its environmental impact,” the statement reads.


With an investment of Rs 1.5 billion, the hotel represents a significant milestone in Nepal’s hospitality sector. 


As part of its broader vision, Best Western Plus Kathmandu also aims to promote Nepal’s rich cultural heritage through local art, cuisine, and customs, while contributing to the national economy by attracting international tourists and boosting foreign currency earnings, added the statement.
