KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Sunita Dangol, the deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), met activist Iih (Ishan) who has been standing in front of the City Hall for eight days.
On reaching the Hall on Tuesday morning, she was concerned about his health. According to Iih, a promise has been made to bring a policy regarding alternative arrangements for those displaced from the footpath.
Iih has been standing in front of the City Hall since last Tuesday in protest against the removal of footpath vendors by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City without alternative arrangements contrary to the election promise.
