711 new cases of COVID-19 detected in the past 24 hours in the Valley


KATHMANDU, Sept 19: With 711 new cases in the past 24 hours, Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 tally has reached 15,649.


A total of 570 people in Kathmandu, 83 in Bhaktapur and 58 others in Lalitpur districts were diagnosed with the COVID-19 on Saturday, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

Of the new cases recorded on Saturday, 433 are males and 278 females.


Likewise, the COVID-19 death toll of the Kathmandu Valley has reached 100 with five new death cases reported in the past 24 hours. The deceased were three females and two males from Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts.


The MoHP also confirmed 1,204 new cases of COVID-19 across Nepal in the past 24 hours. Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 401 with 11 new death cases on Saturday.
