Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 case tally surpasses 11,000 mark with 431 new cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: With 431 new cases detected across the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours, the COVID-19 case tally of the Valley has jumped to 11,139.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 377 new cases in Kathmandu, 17 in Bhaktapur and 37 in Lalitpur were recorded on Saturday.

Of the total cases recorded, 171 are females and 260 are males.

The Valley’s caseload had surpassed 10,000-mark on September 10.

So far, 9,103 people in Kathmandu, 907 in Bhaktapur and 1,129 in Lalitpur district have been diagnosed with the viral infection.

The Valley witnessed 696 new cases on Friday, 572 on Thursday and 464 on Wednesday.
