KATHMANDU, Aug 29: The Kathmandu-Muglin road has fully reopened to traffic from today after being blocked by debris following floods in the Trishuli River triggered by Wednesday’s devastating Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.
The highway had remained closed for four days after mud and debris accumulated at several points along the road. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office said the road was reopened after the debris was cleared.
Narayanghat-Muglin road reopens
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Suresh Prasad Kafle, chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, vehicles stranded on the highway for the past four days have now resumed their journeys to their respective destinations.
However, around a one-kilometer section of the road in the Baireni Bazar area of Dhading is currently operating under one-way traffic.
