After the successful attempt in 2018, Nepali cycling event, ‘Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge’, is back with its ninth edition. The one-day cycling challenge is scheduled on July 20, Saturday. Partnering with Pangro Outdoor Events, this cycle ride is jointly organized by socialtours and Cycle City Network Nepal.
For the ride, there are a total of three routes — 50k, 75k and 100k. All three rides will begin from Patan Durbar Square, Patan. For the 50k ride, the route goes to Kirtipur, Naikap, Swyambhunath, the White Stupa, Balaju water gardens, Manamaiju, Dhapasi, Budanilkantha and Boudha. Upon reaching Boudha, the cyclists will find a lunch stop and then it’s a return toward Patan Durbar Square, taking the route from behind the airport and Pepsi Cola. Likewise, the 75 k and the 100 k routes will have more technical variations of the ride, and of course longer distance.

This year, the riders are aiming to raise six hundred thousand rupees for Richa Bajimaya Foundation. Earlier last year, the riders raised Rs 350,000 for the late national rider Narayan Gopal Maharjan.
The event has also tied with #VisitNepal2020 campaign for the visibility.
