KARNALI, August 11: The Karnali Province is still short of roughly 60,000 textbooks.

The Surkhet-based Janak Siksha Samagri Kendra Provincial Office said it has not been able to supply an adequate number of textbooks in Surkhet, Dailekh and Jajarkot districts of Karnali Province.

As shared by the office, the Center has been requested to arrange around 60,000 textbooks required for the districts.

Chief of the provincial office of Janak Siksha Samagri Kendra, Dhana Bahadur KC shared that the province is particularly short of the textbooks of Nepali, Social Studies, Science, Health & Physical and Occupation subjects of grade eight.

Many students in the province have not yet received textbooks this year due to delay in the printing of books by Janak Sikshya.

The new educational session commences from Falgun (February-March) in the hill districts and from Baisakh (April-May) in the mountainous districts.
