KATHMANDU, July 14: The Karnali Province’s Social Development Ministry has initiated the construction of school infrastructure in 79 local bodies across 10 districts under the ‘School Educational Infrastructure Program’.
In Jumla, which has eight local bodies, buildings have already been constructed in four municipalities, and six four-room buildings have been built in Rukum West.
A budget of Rs 45 million has been allocated for the construction of school buildings in all nine municipalities of Kalikot.

Dhan Bahadur Shahi, the chief of the Social Development Office, stated that the construction works were carried out within the allocated budget in eight municipalities of Dolpa.
Out of nine municipalities, the construction of school buildings in seven municipalities in Surkhet has been completed.
Similarly, 11 school buildings have been constructed in 11 municipalities of Salyan, and one school building each in seven municipalities of Jajarkot and four municipalities of Mugu, respectively.
The construction of 11 four-room buildings has commenced in 11 municipalities of Dailekh.
According to the Ministry, Rs 55 million has been allocated for the construction of schools in Dailekh this year.
