KALIKOT, March 29: Rakam Karnali Rafting Firm has brought rafting service into operation at Aathbish Municipality in Karnali district with a goal to promote tourism in the region.
The rafting service has been brought into operation from Aathbish Municipality-4 of Khidkijyula to Saigaun, covering a length of 10 kilometers. The rafting was brought into operation with the support of the provincial government.
According to the municipality, rafting will start commercially from the month of March to June as the water levels in Karnali are expected to rise in other months.
Although the municipality had started rafting last year to promote tourism in the region, the region has not seen a gain in tourism from the rafting service due to lack of publicity.
