Kapilvastu’s COVID-19 tally surpasses 1,100

District records highest number of cases in Province 5 

KAPILVASTU, Aug 30: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Kapilvastu district has reached 1,110 as 16 more people tested positive for this viral disease on Sunday morning.

According to the District Health Office, seven of the newly-confirmed patients are from Kapilvastu Municipality while three others hail from Shivraj Municipality. Two patients each from Banganga and Buddha Bhumi municipalities and one each from Suddhodan and Bijaynagar rural municipalities are among those who were reported COVID-19 positive on Sunday.

Kapilvastu district has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Province 5.
