LAHAN (Siraha), July 29: The swollen Kamala River has begun eroding the land near the river embankment, spreading fear of massive inundation among the locals.
Over 35 meters of land has been eroded by the river near by the embankment, said Area Police Office Mirchaiya chief Shyam Singh Chaudhary.
Chaudhary added that the security personnel were mobilized at the risky zones to alert the locals and are making their efforts to control the erosion.
The water level has been rising in the river for few days following incessant rain. RSS
