KATHMANDU, March 8: The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has welcomed the CK Raut-led Alliance for Independent Madhesh (AIM)'s move to renounce the secessionist movement, on Friday.

"The RPP—which has been firmly advocating for the sake of country's territorial integrity for long—cautiously welcomes the AIM's announcement to renounce its secessionist movement," the Publicity Department Chief of the party, Mohan Shrestha, said in a statement.

The Kamal Thapa-led party, in the statement, has believed that a decision of a single group to renounce such activities doesn't make sense as long as separatist mentality and tendencies are not abandoned.
