Kalank: Meet Alia Bhatt's character 'Roop'
Boasting of an ensemble cast, Karan Johar's 'Kalank’ is one of the most looked-forward to film of the year. And why shouldn't be given the cast is headlined by Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. But speculations are rife about the story of the period drama, and the latest is that the entire film revolves around the the characters of Roop (Alia) and Zafar (Varun) and that all other big names only play significant part in their lives.
An insider revealed to a daily that the cast were aware of their parts in the story and no one has been shortchanged in it. In fact, the latest star addition to the list is Kiara Advani, who can be seen shaking a leg with Varun in the song 'First Class’. A song has been choreographed by Remo D'Souza, composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh.
