K & K defeated the host and the defending champion Thames International College by 28 runs in the final played at the Army School Ground, Bhaktapur.[break]
Thames won the toss and elected to field first. K & K put up 98/8 in allotted 20 overs. Anshaj Upadhyaya top scored for K & K with 25 runs off 19 balls while Anod Dangol added 12 runs and Aditya Nepal remained unbeaten with 15 runs. Thames bowled 17 runs as extras. Ayush Jung Rana took three wickets while Aashish Man Singh and Bibhav Raj Joshi claimed two wickets each.
Despite bowling well, Thames failed in batting. K & K bowled them out for 70 runs in 15.4 overs as Aditya Nepal and Saurav Khatiwada took three wickets each. Man-of-the-match Anshaj Upadhyaya and Nikhil Pokharel claimed two wickets each.
Aashish Man Singh (19 runs) and Sujan Timalsina (13 runs) were the top scorers for Thames. Thames would have suffered more humiliating defeat had not K & K bowlers bowled 21 extras.
K & K all-rounder Upadhyaya was adjudged the man-of-the-series. He had scored total of 99 runs in the four matches and claimed 12 wickets in the tournament.
Thames´ bowler Rana was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament for his 10 wickets from four matches while his teammate Bibhav Raj Joshi was awarded with the best batsman title. Joshi had scored total of 89 runs in four matches he played in the tournament including a half-century.
