KATHMANDU, Jan 14: K&K International College is set to host BBA Football Cup from Sunday in Kathmandu. Total 20 colleges affiliated to Tribhuvan University will participate in the tournament. The teams come from Pokhara, Dharan, Biratnagar, and other cities of Nepal. The winner of the tournament will get Rs 70,000 and the runner up will receive Rs 35,000, according to Sindhu Dhakal, director of K&K College. The matches will be played in Lalitpur, Lagankhel and Tribhuvan Army Club grounds. The final will be held on January 25.
Times, GEMS into final
KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Times College and GEMS College have fixed their summit clash in the ongoing KEBS Inter-college six-a-side football tournament. In the semifinal clash played on Saturday, Times defeated Ideal College 2-1 in the penalty shootout to enter the final. The match was pushed to the shootout after both the teams failed to score throughout the regulation time of 40 minutes. In the other last-four match played on the same day, GEMS comfortably overcame BIT Academy 4-1. Tushar Paudel, Sarthak Shrestha, Rohan Lawati, and Utsav Dhakal scored a goal each in the win. The winner of the tournament will take home Rs 25,000, while the runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 15,000.
