DOLPA, Feb 11: Juphal Airport in Dolpa district has resumed its operation since Monday morning.
The airport, which remained shut down for the past five days following the incessant heavy snowfall, came into operation after the airport administration removed the snow from the runway by deploying around 100 construction workers on Sunday.
Flights resumed to and from Juphal Airport
Station Manager of the airport, Yagya Thakulla, told Republica Online that Tara Air and Summit Air conducted five flights on Monday.
The incoming and outgoing flights in Dolpa halted for the past five days after the snowfall covered the runway.
Hundreds of passengers were stranded in Dolpa after the airport remained shut. The supply of daily goods to the district was also affected.
