DPM Yadav’s tantrums, ‘stature’ delays flight by 45 minutes
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Upendra Yadav threw tantrums at the Tribhuvan International Airport yesterday. Yadav showcased his stature of being a minister and threw tantrums to board a Thai Airlines flight without a passport, thereby delaying the takeoff by 45 minutes. The DPM’s action eventually led many to miss their connecting flights from Bangkok.  

Chitwan tense as police fire teargas shells
Police have fired teargas shells to take the situation under control following the clash between rickshaw pullers and the security personnel. The situation flared after the police intervened in the demonstration staged by the demonstrators against the metropolis decision

Farmers concerned over slackened price of black pepper

Hundreds of local farmers in Jhapa district involved in black pepper plantation are concerned as their produces go unsold due to the dominance of imported black pepper in the local markets. The commercial farming of black pepper is done in Arjundhara, Mechinagar and Buddha Shanti in the district and produced in abundance yet the product is pushed out of the market by the foreign imported black pepper. 

Pakistan Elections: Islamic State Claims Attack, 31 Dead
Reports are that at least 31 people have died and about 35 others injured following an explosion that occurred near a police mobile near the eastern bypass in Quetta, Balochistan province, according to The Guardian and Geo News. Among the dead, are reportedly police officers and at least one minor. 

France: Tour de France comes to halt amid farmers' protest
The Tour de France, one of the cycling's three Grand Tours came to a halt during Stage 16 when a group of cyclists in the race was sprayed during a protest by French farmers. Local farmers brought the Stage 16 of the race to a halt Tuesday after bales of hay were thrown on to the road on the route from Carcassonne to Bagneres-de-Luchon prompting the police to fire tear gas resulting in obstructing the riders' vision. 

The Netherlands name squads for clashes with Nepal and MCC
The Netherlands head coach Ryan Campbell has announced the Dutch national team squads for the T20 Tri Series at Lord’s (July 29) and the two ODIs against Nepal. Dutch Captain Pieter Seelaar has been given a number of younger players to guide into competition against Nepal and the MCC on Sunday, July 29 at the home of cricket.
