Aarati protested in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, wearing black clothes, saying that the action against Giri had not proceeded. Binu Yadav, who participated in the protest, said that even though they went to the judicial council many times, their case was not registered and their issues were not heard. She warned to continue the protest unless her demands were heard.
Binu said that her father-in-law’s brother repeatedly tried to rape her, but the perpetrators have not been prosecuted.
She said, “The judge is Bhuwan Giri, and Aarti Giri is his wife. We have knocked on the court’s door many times but the process has not been moved forward. Do we have to sacrifice ourselves for justice? We, the victims, will now take to the streets and protest. My father-in-law’s brother tried to rape me several times. Why hasn’t he been punished and why have we not been given justice?”
Similarly, Kritika Yadav, who came to protest, accused that judges are being sold in the courts of Nepal. She said that the judicial council refused to accept the complaint of the accused Giri.
