KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has appointed Rakam Chemjong as co-chairman and Lal Babu Raut and Ram Kumar Sharma as general secretaries of the party.
Two and a half months after the party’s National Unity Convention, JSP Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav has finalized the office-bearers, executive committee, and central committee members. At that time, the convention was concluded only by electing the chairman, and subsequently, all rights to appoint office-bearers were given to Chairman Yadav.

With this, the JSP Nepal officials and executive committee have been completed. Chairman Yadav has appointed Rajkishore Yadav, Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav, Govind Chaudhary, Shivlal Thapamgar, and Bidyut Bajracharya as vice-chairmen.
Along with the general secretaries, Yadav has appointed Prakash Adhikari, Deepak Karki, and Rekha Yadav as deputy general secretaries. The secretaries are Leela Sitaula, Shailendra Sah, Suni Lama, Raj Kumar Rai, Lakpa Sherpa, and Kamaruddin Rai. Surita Kumari Sah has been appointed as treasurer.
The executive members include Hari Narayan Yadav, Arjun Thapa, Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadav, Asheshwar Yadav, Dr. Krishna Kumar Rai, Nirmala Yadav, Tara Bishwakarma, Rajkumar Gupta, Jai Ram Yadav, and Ram Kishor Yadav.
A national unity convention of JSP Nepal was held in Janakpur on June 10, 11, and 12.
The convention elected a 215-member Central Committee, with 23 additional members subsequently nominated. The Central Committee of JSP Nepal will thus have a total of 241 members.
