JSP candidate wins ward chairmanship in Siraha

SIRAHA, May 15: Mahesh Kumar Yadav (Pintu) of Janata Samajbadi Party has won the ward chairmanship of Siraha Municipality ward no. 1 by a margin of 100 votes.

Yadav received 511 votes while his nearest rival Rajdev Yadav of the Nepali Congress polled 411 votes.

In the local level election held 2017, he had won the ward chairmanship from the Nepali Congress.

This time, he left the Nepal Congress after being denied a ticket from the NC and became the ward chairman candidate from JSP Nepal.
