As many as nine journalists working in the field of children’s rights were awarded with the National Child-sensitive Journalism Award-2074 for their contribution on Friday.
The award function was organized by Federation of Nepalese Journalists in association with Central Child Welfare Board at the former’s premises in Sanchar Gram, Tilganga.

The winners included Ramkala Khadka from Annapurna Post, Mukesh Pokharel from Himal Khabar Patrika, Salina Upreti and Sanskriti Chalise from Naya Pusta, Krishna Adhikari from Nepal Television, Laxmi Basnet from Samudayik Suchana Network, Chiranjibi Timalsina from Sky FM, Rupa Sharma from Metro FM and Manoj Kumar Mahato from Radio Purbeli Awaj. The winners were selected among a total of 34 nominees.
The award carried a purse of Rs 25,000 and a certificate. The winners were selected through a series of processes conducted by a panel of five judges.
