Jhamsikhel into Super League; Bauddha, Nawa Jyoti relegated

KATHMANDU, June 12: Jhamsikhel Youth Club on Sunday booked a place in the Super League round of the Martyr's Memorial C Division Football League being held at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato. Similarly, Bauddha FC and Nawa Jyoti Yuva Club relegated from the C division.

Jhamsikhel recorded 1-0 against Social Welfare Sports Centre in Group A match to join Shree Bhagawati Club in the super league round.

Jhamsikhel and Shree Bhagawati both collected equally 10 points from five matches. However, Shree Bhagawati topped the group due to goal difference.

Bikash Lama scored the match winning a goal for Jhamsikhel in the 77th minute.


Meanwhile, the result saw Nawa Jyoti relegated from the division as it finished bottom of the group. Nawa Jyoti relegated on the basis of goal differences despite having equal four points as Social Welfare.
Swayambhu and Sanepa along with Social Welfare remained in the C division from the group that comprised six teams.


Similarly, Bauddha was relegated from the C division following 2-1 defeat against Greenwich Planning Boys United in Group B match. Bauddha (3 points) slid to the bottom of the group having seven teams.

While, Greenwich kept its hope alive for the super league with the win as it is in the second position with 11 points from six matches. Manohara is in the top position with 12 points in five matches.
Mishan Lama and Sabin KC scored a goal each for Greenwich, while Dorje Tamang netted once for Bauddha.
Top two teams from both the groups will enter the super league where top two teams will get promoted to B Division, while other two teams will remain in the C division.
